Sr. Console Operator

Job Purpose

Safely operate equipment, console and automated systems to operate the plant safely and effectively while optimizing task efficiency and procedures.

Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the operation of various plant equipment, minor maintenance on plant equipment, heavy lifting and any other required tasks.
2. Perform tasks assigned to operations as per Task List. Follow operating discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
3. Monitor and respond to operating and error messages. Inform the supervisors of any equipment malfunctions that need to be fixed.
4. Ensure that all operating discipline principles, procedures and practices are strictly followed and compliant with EH&S guidelines and regulatory and permit requirements
5. Act vigilantly to respond immediately to emergency situation and ensure that all emergency protocols and procedures are followed.
6. Use process knowledge and skills to improve plant performance and operating discipline.
7. Utilize operational knowledge and expertise to troubleshoot process-related deviations and issues.
8. Issue work permits as needed for activities within assigned area
